The Scheme
In June each year, the Trust announces the categories for the following year.
The Council of the Trust selects the annual categories from the following fields:
For examples of specific categories offered within the last ten years click on any of the fields listed above. From any of the category lists, the years 1996-2007 have further links to specific projects carried out.
Certain designated awards will include one for History.
If awarded a Fellowship, you will receive a grant which will cover all your Fellowship expenses: return fare, daily living, travel within the countries being visited and, in exceptional cases, certain home expenses. In 2008, the Trust awarded grants in excess of £500,000. You will also be insured against accident, medical expenses and loss of baggage while you are away. Grants usually cover a stay overseas of 4-8 weeks.
