Dawn Peart, Fellow of 2001, took up her new post of full time Manager to the British Swimming Team in March. We wish Dawn and her team every success and will be watching closely in 2012!
Dr Peter McCaffery, a Fellow of 1997 will take up the post of Vice Chancellor at Cumbria University in early July this year. For full details see the article in the Whitehaven News.
Mrs Dawn Peart, Manager of the British Olympic Swimming Team, dropped into the office on 16th November, between the Olympic Parade and the reception at Buckingham Palace, to tell us tales from Beijing and the great medal success achieved by the swimming team. In 2001 Dawn, travelled from Newcastle to Australia to look at how swimming was developed from infancy to adulthood. The path she set out on has taken her to Beijing 2008 and we hope, onwards to London 2012.
Mark Southgate, a Fellow of 1998 has been appointed Director of Casework at the Planning Inspectorate for England and Wales, based in Bristol.
