2001 Swimming development |
In May 2001 Dawn set off for the World Swim Coaches Conference in Brisbane where she met teaching and coaching contacts who were extremely helpful to her during her stay in Australia. Among the many highlights of her Fellowship was the period she spent observing and assisting the Australian National team's training camp in preparation for the World Championships in Fukuoka, Japan. She travelled widely around Australia collecting experiences, contacts, inspiration and making friends with whom she is still in touch. On her return to the UK Dawn was invited to speak at many local and national conferences about her time in Australia, which enabled the benefits of her Fellowship to be very far reaching. |
