Churchill Fellows recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours

Two Fellows, Keith Barley and Sue Knowles, have been awarded MBEs in the Queen's Birthday Honours list.

Keith Barley was "surprised and enormously delighted" to receive an MBE for services to cultural restoration and conservation. Keith's 1986 Fellowship into medieval glass restoration led to pioneering conservation practices, which have been replicated by practioners in the UK and beyond.

Sue Knowles was awarded her MBE for services to deaf children and their families, the subject of her Fellowship in 1975. Sue's research into deaf children's provision in North America informed and still informs the work she currently does in Kingston.
