South Association Day Out

A recent trip by the South Association.

On 12th February, Fellows from the South Association visited the award-winning Bombay Sapphire Distillery at Laverstoke Mille in Hampshire where they discovered the herbs and plants from which gin and its flavourings are made.

They then ventured on to Whitchurch to enjoy a buffet lunch prior to two very interesting presentations by Fellows. Mark Walsh reported on the progress made by his Community Courts, which have impressive rate of 0% second offending from first time offenders. The second presentation was on the topic of the mysterious origins of Aran knitting by Rohana Darlington.
