Fellows' collaborations: Food poverty

Lindsay Graham, Bryce Evans and Seb Mayfield all carried out projects related to food poverty in their recent Fellowships.

Bryce visited Peru to explore their community kitchen network; Lindsay studied programmes helping to feed children from low-income families during the school holidays in the USA; and Seb, a 2015 Fellow, travelled to Canada to explore their food banking system.

Bryce and Lindsay, both Fellows of 2014, were able to offer guidance to Seb as he set out on his travels and, on his return, they met to share ideas. This led to plans for a UK campaign, and culminated in July in a meeting at the Houses of Parliament convened by Maria Eagle, Shadow Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs. The discussion, attended by several experts, was very productive.

A workshop was held in early September to further develop the campaign strategy. Watch this space for a launch later on in the year!
