David Jackson’s Fellowship in 2007 was designed to complement his career as a repetiteur; to enhance his rehearsal skills and help in correct language pronunciations and performance techniques for operatic productions. He wanted to observe rehearsals at opera festivals in Italy and Germany, and meet musicians and coaches for renowned European productions. Gillian Dibden is in pursuit of the perfect choir! Her Fellowship to South Africa and Finland in 2002 enabled her to study two extremes of choral training in South Africa and Finland. Steve Williamson travelled to West and East Africa in 1997 to study and record community singing in order to inspire music projects in the UK. After returning, he worked with primary teachers and local churches to set up community singing performances in South East London, and developed composition projects for use in school. Read more...
