The South West Association covers a very large area and although we encourage Fellows to attend both days of a function we are more than happy for anyone to 'pick and mix'. Join us for part of a day or maybe just the dinner. For those who have not attended before you can be assured of a warm welcome. Any Fellows with suggestions for venues or the running of the South West Association of Churchill Fellows, including the publicising of the Fellowships, is invited to contact Bill Nicholson with their ideas. In an effort to save costs this Association is endeavouring to conduct all correspondence by way of email and therefore any Fellow who would like to be included in that system is asked to update the Secretary as soon as possible.

Two Facebook groups have been set up by Churchill Fellows, one is called Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travelling Fellows and the other is called Churchill Fellows. It is hoped that these groups will provide a forum for Fellows to exchange ideas and experiences.

As this Association covers a very large area we are seeking to set up groups of Fellows who can get together locally. In the first instance I am looking for volunteers who would be willing to organise such groups in their area. If they would like to contact me I will ensure their details are forwarded to Fellows in their area. The idea is to meet for a drink or a meal one evening. This idea is directed at those Fellows who cannot attend weekend functions but wish to meet likeminded people. Hopefully all arrangements could be conducted over the telephone or by email. As with all other Associations we are constantly seeking ways of publicising the work of the Trust and I would ask that anyone in the SW with a local paper that has a community page to please let me have the relevant email address so that I may send details of our functions to that newspaper.
