Louise Hurst
Louise visited the USA and Canada to better understand
wildlife forensics
which are widely used in criminal investigations in these countries. Louise will feedback her findings in order to progress the discipline in the UK.
David Martin
David travelled to North America and Canada to look at the provision for offenders coming to the end of their sentences. His findings will be fed into the Northern Ireland Prison Service with a view to
improving the services offered to released offenders, and thereby reducing re-offending.
Claire Whatley
Claire is a Contingency Planning Officer for the City of London and wanted to know how New York had managed to move forward following the
9/11 attacks. Her visit was timed to co-incide with the 10th Anniversary
and she attended the ceremony to mark it.
Emily Miles
Emily Miles is a Senior Civil Servant who took a year out to research
building successful alliances in the public sphere, to realise complex change
. She travelled to North America and India looking for ideas and examples of good practice and is still blogging about her findings.
