Rebecca has a leading role in the environmental NGO movement in Scotland, both through influencing legislation and conducting practical projects to connect people with their environment in ways that foster good stewardship. She travelled to the USA to look at Place-Based Learning, an educational philosophy founded in the USA which aims to help students know and care for the place in which they live. She plans to feed back her findings to Scottish environmental bodies for a wider impact.
