Covid-19 Action Fund
Building recovery and resilience across the UK
Our Covid-19 Action Fund provides grants for Churchill Fellows to increase their vital contribution to the national effort against Covid-19. It offers one-off grants of up to £10,000 and collects lessons learnt for future use.
The first round of this fund, in the summer of 2020, focussed on emergency response projects in the UK. At the height of the crisis, it awarded £155,000 of grants to Fellows’ projects in a wide range of UK sectors. You can read about them here.
The second round, this autumn, supports longer term renewal projects. In December we awarded £302,000 of grants to Fellows' projects that are providing emergency help or longer term recovery measures for a range of issues. You can find out more here. A third round will open in early 2021.
We welcome donations to this emergency fund. In 2021 we will launch a third round with a longer term focus and we will also gather a Knowledge Bank of lessons learned from all of our Fellows’ projects, available to policy-makers and practitioners worldwide.
