East Pennine Association autumn meeting
Join the East Pennine Association of Churchill Fellows for their autumn meeting on Saturday 10 November 2018.
The autumn meeting will take place at The Hepworth in Wakefield - an award-winning art gallery in the heart of Yorkshire, set within Wakefield's historic waterfront overlooking the River Calder.
Designed by the acclaimed David Chipperfield Architects, the gallery opened in May 2011. It is home to Wakefield’s art collection – an impressive compendium of modern British art, including works by Ben Nicholson, Patrick Heron, L.S. Lowry, Barbara Hepworth and Henry Moore as well as work by significant contemporary artists such as Frank Auerbach, Maggi Hambling, Anthea Hamilton, Martin Parr and Eva Rothschild.
The event will start at 1pm with lunch served on arrival, followed by the Association's annual general meeting and presentations from Fellows from the region.
The main speakers will be:
- Jonny Vincent (Fellow 2017) will be speaking about his Fellowship 'Launching lives: supporting graduates on the autism spectrum into employment'
- Nicky Taylor (Fellow 2014) will be speaking about her Fellowship 'Creating together: connecting people with dementia, families, communities and theatre'
Afterwards there is an opportunity to visit the Hepworth Wakefield gallery.
Tickets for the event are £25 per person, including lunch and parking. There is a strict limit of 50 attendees for this event, therefore advanced booking is required.
