How you can help

Churchill Fellows are the best champions for what we do and we are always grateful for your support. There are several ways you can help.

Spread the word

Speaking to others about the positive impact of a Churchill Fellowship is a powerful way of inspiring them to consider applying themselves. Countless applicants credit speaking with a Fellow as the reason they were motivated to apply.

Fellows can help spread the word by:

  • Giving talks locally or in the workplace about your Fellowship experience
  • Distributing our flyers at conferences and other events
  • Following us on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram, and sharing our posts
  • Posting about us on social media
  • Blogging about your trip. You can find a list of blogsites by Fellows currently travelling here

If you would like us to send you a bundle of flyers, simply email ben.anstis@wcmt.org.uk and we will post them out. We also have a simple pop-up banner we can lend you for an event.

Join Fellows’ Fortnight

For two weeks each June, we encourage Fellows to help us spread the word about the Churchill Fellowships by organising events, handing out flyers and talking about us online. We also plan special online content, so keep an eye on our website and social media channels.

In 2018, Fellows’ Fortnight is taking place between 9 and 24 June. Find out more

Connect with other Fellows

We maintain two kinds of networks for Fellows: thematic networks, focused around a particular theme, which gives you access to other specialists in your chosen area; and regional associations, which hold talks and social events in each part of the country. By joining either of these, you will have access to a unique network of individuals, giving you the opportunity to offer advice, share contacts and collaborate. You can also help other Fellows, particularly those working in the same field as you, by sharing their Fellowship report and championing their work.

Stay in touch

One of the most important ways you can help us is by staying in touch after you complete your travels. Letting us know about your achievements enables us to demonstrate the impact of the Churchill Fellowships, so we can continue to attract high-quality applications and work with partners who can help us make the Fellowships go further. You can send your updates to us here.

Make a donation

Some Fellows like to give back by financially supporting future Fellowships. This might be a one-off or a regular donation, or it might be a gift left in their will. If you would like to talk to us about these, you can email giving@wcmt.org.uk or call 020 7799 1660. Find out more about how you can support us.
