Listen again to our BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Published: 3 Jun 2015

Having retired to the remote Scottish Highlands, Ann Pascoe's husband, Andrew, was unexpectedly diagnosed with vascular dementia, aged just fifty eight.
In our Radio 4 Charity Appeal, Ann presents a very moving and personal account of her husband's illness, which led her to decide to apply for a Travelling Fellowship.
Her Fellowship has had a profound effect on many people - and she has succeeded in raising the profile of dementia in Scotland and far beyond.
It was my Churchill Fellowship that gave me confidence and authority, and it was the first step to achieving things I didn’t dare believe were possible.
Please listen to Ann's Appeal, broadcast on BBC Radio 4 on:
Sunday 31st May at 7.55am and 9.26pm
Thursday 4th June at 3.27pm.
