Maria Amidu, Fellow of 2013, is one of nine artists commissioned by Parliament to produce banners for Westminster Hall in celebration of 800 years of Magna Carta.
The exhibition, entitled ‘The Beginnings of that Freedome’, celebrates key moments along our journey to a modern democracy. Maria’s banners commemorate the 1807 Abolition of the Slave Trade and the 1628 Petition of Right.
The exhibition is free to visit and runs until 30 Nov 2015, 9:00 - 18:00.
