I am an Honorary Research Fellow of Bangor University and the Scientific advisor to the European Squirrel Initiative & Red Squirrel Survival Trust. My research interests include pathogenic viral infections in red squirrels, landscape scale grey squirrel control and the impact of forest tree disease on red squirrel conservation programmes. Historically, I managed the eradication of grey squirrels from the island of Anglesey and am currently involved with the UK wide Red Squirrels United project. This works to empower communities and volunteers to manage invasive species and conserve threatened native ecosystems.
