I am a music teacher, composer and founder of ‘The Music Man Project UK’ - an award-winning, Guinness world record-breaking music service specifically for children and adults with learning disabilities. I deliver education, enjoyment and unique performance opportunities for my special musicians and I campaign for their equal right to access the Arts. I share my music, teaching resources and experience freely to other organisations and individuals in my quest to bring my life-changing music service to every county in England, every country in the UK and every continent in the world. In doing so I have helped a local charity, Southend Mencap, make a global impact in Arts Education. I have established Music Man Projects across the UK, in South Africa and India. Hundreds of my students have performed at the London Palladium and Royal Albert Hall in my spectacular ‘Music is Magic’ variety concerts. My teaching is the basis of PhD research at the Royal College of Music, London.
