Debbie Frances is founder of The Project (now operating as Headlight), an early intervention peer support network for young people affected by mental health issues based in Devon. She is also Founder & CEO of The Project Training & Consultancy, a social enterprise raising awareness and increasing understanding of mental illness, providing training and workshops to young people and those supporting them. Debbie has also developed a replication model for The Project, to enable groups to set up in other parts of the UK. In 2009 Debbie’s daughter developed severe mental illness in her teens. Following her experience of caring for her daughter, and her struggle to find the right help and support, Debbie set up The Project.
