My name is Eifion, I live in North East Wales and became CEO of Circular Economy Wales CIC since gaining a Churchill Fellowship in 2018. Formally I was a Business Advisor with the Wales Co-operative Centre. I've been involved in the field of Social Enterprise development, specifically the emerging reuse and recycling sectors, for the last fifteen years. My Fellowship is a comparative study of complementary currency systems across six European countries. Before and after publication of the report, I met with Wales's First Minister, Mark Drakeford, who has taken a keen interest in my fellowship and has been supportive of my endeavours which I hope will be a game changer for the Welsh economy. Circular Economy Wales CIC now has a partnership arrangement with the SARDEX in Sardinia. I'll be launching the Welsh Mutual Credit system for Wales, the CELYN, in November at the Principality Stadium; the first Sardex replication outside of the Italian area.
