My name is Helen, and I’m a professional dancer turned social entrepreneur. I run a social enterprise called Living Liberté, which grew from a simple blog page started back in 2012. Living Liberté provides resources, free mentoring and educational workshops to help teach the vital skills we all need to form healthier relationships. I was involved in a highly abusive relationship as a young person. My grandmother's life was taken by her husband in 1978. I believe that if we’d had the opportunity of relationship education then things could have been very different for us both. This is the powering belief that drives my work - a belief in better, using education as a change-making tool for prevention. I am extremely honoured to be taking up my role as a 2020 fellow, and look forward to deepening my understanding of my work with the WCMT.
