My name is Isabell MacInnes I am a Health Protection and Screening Nurse Specialist with NHS Western Isles. I am Gaelic speaker born and brought up on South Uist, I am married with three children. My previous roles include a Midwife,Practice Nurse, School Nurse, Health Visitor and I moved into Public Health in 2015. My interest in Lyme disease came initially from my knowledge within the local community of an increasing incidence and the frequency with which people were developing Erythema Migrans following a tick bite. My public health work led me to undertaking an analysis which identified the need to take actions which included developing an awareness campaign.
