I have spent the last four years working in the homelessness sector with the International Social Movement Emmaus. Establishing a community and a number of social enterprises in North East England to support those experiencing homelessness to find a home, connection, meaning and a sense of purpose. Prior to working for Emmaus I was involved in International development, most recently in Liberia working for the school feeding charity Marys Meals. I have always had an interest in the social and transformative capacity of the environment and agriculture, this has increased my interest in agro-ecology and those with similar aims to Emmaus (La Via Campesina etc). Always looking to link up with people who have similar interests so we can work together in solidarity with those struggling to find a place in our, at times individualistic and economic world.
