Tony Wright is a qualified and registered Social Worker, Advanced Group Worker, Probation Officer, Home Office Adviser and Winston Churchill Memorial Trust Travelling Fellow. He is the founder and Chief Executive of award winning registered veterans charity Forward Assist. His current interests and political campaigning is centered on the development of models of intervention that promote ‘Post Traumatic Growth’ (PTG) for combat veterans, the adaptation and introduction of a Veterans Treatment Court model within the UK CJS and effective ‘Gender Specific’ mental health services/support for female veterans. Forward Assist has recently launched ‘Salute Enterprises’ and is in the process of developing several ‘not for profit’ social enterprises that facilitate a direct route out of unemployment for veterans struggling with the transition from military service to civilian life.
